We're parents too.
Between the two of us, we're raising two energetic little boys who are only ten months apart.
Our oldest is also on the autism spectrum, so we understand firsthand that every child experiences the world a little differently.
We know what it's like to wonder if today will be a "good day."
We know what it's like to pack extra snacks, favorite toys, backup clothes, sensory tools, and hope for the best.
We know that sometimes children need a few extra minutes—or a completely different approach.
That's okay.
Before photography became our full-time career, Cameron spent more than a decade working in childcare administration through his family's business, and Haley earned a degree in Family Studies and Sociology while teaching preschool. We were also foster parents before adopting our oldest son.
All of that to say, we've seen the meltdowns.
The big emotions.
The shy kids.
The sensory overload.
The children who refuse to look at the camera.
The dads who would rather be literally anywhere else.
The moms carrying the weight of making everything "perfect."
We've lived it.
That's why our sessions are built around
connection instead of perfection.

They're built around movement!
Walking. Playing. Tickling. Exploring. Snuggling. Laughing.
Because children rarely remember to smile on command...
But they almost always smile while they're busy being kids.

A note for DAD…
We know.
Family pictures probably weren't your
first (or second, or third) choice for spending an evening!

We've yet to meet a grumpy dad we couldn't win over.
No awkward posing.
No forced smiles.
No standing around wondering what to do with your hands.
We'll keep things moving, make it easy, and before you know it, it'll be over—and your wife will have photographs she'll treasure forever,
and you might actually have fun.
A note for MOM…
We know you're probably carrying more into this session than just your diaper bag.
You're thinking about outfits, naps, snacks, whether everyone will cooperate, if your husband actually remembered the right shoes, and hoping—just hoping—you'll get one photo where everyone is looking in the same direction.
Can we let you in on a little secret?
You don't have to hold all of that here.
Your only job is to love on your family.
We'll handle the rest.
And if things don't go according to plan? That's okay too.
Some of our favorite images have happened in the middle of what parents thought was a disaster.
We're not looking for perfection.

Our philosophy is simple:
If it's a meaningful moment, we want you to have it.

We intentionally overshoot because childhood happens fast.
Sometimes the tiny glance between siblings or the laugh that lasts half a second becomes the image your family treasures most.
